By the time I had moved to Marysville the POTS and fiber provider had gone through several changes; Verizon to Frontier to Ziply. Ziply is by far the best of this evolution. It seems they’ve not only invested in core network upgrades but also the neighborhood nodes. Latency has always been <5ms and recently went down to <3ms. Currently I’m on the 1gig plan and you’ll see from the screenshot below that I get as close as you can get to advertised speed on upload, download is pretty good. My guess is that since I’ve always got some download running that it makes the speedtest get a lower result.
